St Patrick's News and Updates
Lectors Needed at St Patrick Church: The Ministry of proclaiming the Word of God at Mass is looking for new lectors, especially for the 7:45 am Sunday Mass. On average, lectors are scheduled to read once a month. During Christmas and Easter, it is usually twice. Lectors are given a workbook with all the readings for the year from which they can practice. There is a training session for each new lector along with constant monitoring if needed. Proclaiming the Word at Mass will increase your knowledge of Scripture as well as enrich your understanding of our Catholic faith. It is a very rewarding ministry. If interested, or if you have questions, please call Stephen Folan at 516-671-2601.

OKTOBERFEST, September 29th: SAVE THE DATE: We have set the date for this year’s Oktoberfest for after the 4:30 PM Mass on September 29th. As I’ve mentioned in the past, while it may seem a bit strange to have such a named event in September, the original event in Munich also starts in September, ending on the first Sunday in October. I hope you all can make it.
